Where should we eat tonight?
It's getting late, everyone is hungry and nobody will commit. Here is a quick way to answer "where should we eat tonight?" before the mood turns.
Start with what's close and open
On a weeknight, the best place is usually the one you can get to easily. Limit yourself to places nearby, so the choice is between good options rather than every restaurant in town.
Offer three, not thirty
Pick three places that are different from each other: say, something quick, something cozy and something a little special. Different options make the vote mean something, and three is easy to decide between.
Ask once, with a deadline
Send one message: "Vote in the next 15 minutes." People answer faster when they know when it ends, and you're not stuck waiting on the one person who's still at work.
Let the veto do the hard part
Everyone gets to rule out one place. That keeps the group away from the place someone really can't face, without a long discussion about it.
How to do it in about 30 seconds
Open wawe and tap Start a vote. Share your location, or type the area you'll be in, and tap Pick 3 for me to get three places nearby. Swap any you don't like. Choose 15 minutes or 1 hour, then share the link with whoever is coming.
Friends tap the link and vote in their browser with just a first name. No app, no account. When time is up, or as soon as everyone has voted if you said how many are coming, the winner is revealed for everyone at once. Tap to open it in Maps and head out.
Just the two of you?
It works for a couple deciding on date night too. Two people, two picks, one veto each. If you still disagree, a tie is settled by a spin, so nobody has to be the one who "always chooses".
